TUNBRIDGE WELLS BOROUGH COUNCIL
Borough Secretary and Solicitor's Division
Town Hall, Royal Tunbridge Wells, TN1 1RS

Dear Ms Topliss

TELEPHONE HOUSE

Thank you for your letter dated 27 May.

I regret to inform you that I cannot advise you whether you are in a position to register a right of light in the local land charges register. This is a matter upon which you must take independent legal advice. Whilst I am responsible for maintaining the register I cannot become involved advising members of the public on their private interests and in particular what steps they should take to protect the same.

I am sure that you will find a suitable local solicitor who will be able to answer your questions. I also regret to having to advise you that the Council is unable to pay you for incurring any costs in connection with the same.

Yours sincerely
Martin Harris
Borough Secretary and Solicitor
